Equazen omega 3 and 6 fatty acids is a specially developed formula. Equazen contains the important fatty acids EPA, DHA and GLA in a specific ratio, resulting in a synergistic composition and balanced formula. Equazen is special because of the high content of EPA in relation to DHA. The ratio of the fatty acids EPA:DHA:GLA is 9:3:1.

Equazen is a special mix of high-quality fish oil (with the omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA) and pure evening primrose oil (with omega 6 fatty acid GLA). Equazen provides a simple and practical way for the balanced intake of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
Safe and high quality
Only high-quality, natural ingredients are used for the production of Equazen supplements. The oil comes from sustainable sources of fatty fish, such as mackerel, anchovies and sardines, which are known for their naturally higher EPA concentrations. After a special purification process, the oils are subjected to independent testing to ensure that they meet the stringent requirements of the WHO and the EU.

Equazen liquid is suitable for adults and for children from the age of three.
Equazen liquid has a slight citrus flavor and is well tolerated.

Directions of use
For both children and adults:
During the first 12 weeks*: 3 times a day 5 ml (a dessert spoon).
Then: Once a day 5 ml (a dessert spoon).
Preferably during the meal.Shake well before use.
Optionally Equazen liquid can be mixed with cold drinks or, for example, custard or yoghurt.
Do not mix Equazen liquid with hot food or hot drinks. When unsaturated fatty acids are heated, oxidation occurs and the oil loses its effectiveness.
*To replenish body stores it is necessary to start with a higher dose during the first 12 weeks.
Equazen liquid has a slight citrus flavor. If you or your child don’t like the taste, try the chewables with strawberry flavor.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake/dose.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

QUESTION | My child is having Equazen baby and is now three years old. I would now like to switch to Equazen liquid. Should I start with the higher dose for 12 weeks, as recommended?
ANSWER | The switch from Equazen baby to Equazen liquid at this age is indeed helpful. From about three years of age, the fatty acid EPA is more important for a child. After Equazen baby you can immediately start with 5 ml (dessert spoon) once a day. The higher amount is mainly intended for children who take these fatty acids for the first time and for children with an increased need.
